2013 Integrity Toys Convention Registration BEGINS!

YES!
Much earlier than last year the 2013 Integrity Toys Convention Registration begins in February!
It will take place at Century Plaza Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles from October 31-November 2.
This is the first time the convention has taken place on the West Coast and also the 10th convention.

There are many changes in store as the information email states and one of the BEST  inovations is a method of diminishing wait times.

One of the only downfalls of the convention (for me at least) is waiting on line to pay for merchandise once inside the gift shop.
Some may say camping out from 4 A.M. to 1 P.M waiting for the shop to open is a nightmare but I think they all enjoy it!
Now gift shop will be open in shifts according to the date and time you registered (WClub members get priority registration! that's why you need to join!)

Things that remain the same:

Several classes will be offered and Registration for them Begins April 15
There will be another Style Infusion Lab with increased numbers of dolls available
WClub Lunch for WClub Members ONLY
Welcome Kit
Fashion Royalty souvenir doll
Special Welcome Halloween Banquet

Not sure about other events like the 16 inch doll line lunch but more information will come in the long slow dragging months leading up to the convention!

Best advice:

Register as soon as possible if you want to go to insure a good spot in gift shop line!

Masters Of The Universe Classics Fighting Foe Men

Matty Collector unveiled a series of goodies at this February 2013 Toy Fair
Including:

New Castle Grayskull Prototype

Sneaks of figures for New Filmation characters subscription

Upcoming figures including King He-Man, Fang Man and Fighting Foe Men 3 pack

At first I wanted nothing to do with these guys! (which is usually a bad sign)
But
then I did the research and became obsessed!
They are actually based on box art for Masters Of The Universe model kits from the 80's
(of which I knew NOTHING about)
I must have this set!

GOOD NEWS

People HATE them!

This is a subscription only item (of which I'm not a subscriber) which means I have to wait for subscribers to get first dibs and then hurry for a chance at one or purchase one on Ebay.

List price for subscribers is $75 plus shipping

Not sure what it is about these guys that hooked me;
Love the colors and love the history!

I also strictly wanted to keep obscure figures out of my collection.

BUT
I need these

Maybe its the recent Grayskull fever I've caught since the Castle Graysull reveals but I love these!

So if youre a subscriber your lucky even if you can't stand them and want to sell them!

And good luck to ALL non-subscribers in getting one...(after I get mine)

NEW Masters Of The Universe Castle Grayskull 2013

At long last a NEW Castle Grayskull is here!

In Oct 2012 we were given a mock up (with measurements) and allowed to pre order Grayskull that Mattel said would ship in Nov/Dec 2013 for $250

At 2013Toy Fair fans scrambled for a look at an actual mud and mortar prototype.
Controversy ensued!

In a video interview with Reporter Pixel Dan, (seen here) a Mattel Representative said the castle has shrunk in size from the original measurements fans were sold:
Original measurements: 25”h x 26”w x 28”d
New measurements: 23"h x 18"w x 11.5"d (assuming this is with castle closed)

Many fans expressed annoyance and anger at this and several other details regarding the castle's features in hopes they would be changed for San Diego Comic Con in July and ultimately in the final product.

But its doubtfull.

Regardless

Yes, bigger is better and the cardboard mock up looks very exciting.
Some say much more exciting than the 3D prototype.

I'm just thrilled to have this NEW castle and actully have lost sleep just thinking about it.

I do hope it doesnt shrink any furthur and I hope we get it as planned with no reports of qualitly issues at all.

I JUST NEED SLEEP!!
LONG WAY TO GO!!

Highlights Of Integrity's Spring 2013 Line

The 2013 Integrity Toys Spring line was unveiled this past weekend.
Unfortunately it was only 4 of the companies product lines and some people were disappointed none of the flagship properties were featured such as Fashion Royalty Poppy Parker Or Fr2
BUT
What was offered was DELIGHTFUL
This is just a small list of what I think are highlights
If you want a complete list I'm sure you can check out Shugs Blog or Inside The Doll Studio or Flickr.

What seems to be the Hottest item was Yeti To Wear  (below)
The 16 inch doll that sold out very quickly is part of the Tulabelle Collection.
Personally I think its the boots that sold this girl.
Also, the ultra modern style for a 16 inch doll is unusual and not typically served by Tonner doll company who is considered the apex of 16 inch doll production.

Item #86003

Suggested Retail Price: US $150.00

Limited Edition of 300 Dolls

The Holograms were also featured as a part of the New Jem line completing the Jem and The Holograms segment.
Initially I was extremely excited for the collection revival  because as a nine year old I preferred Jem to Barbie. However I told myself, I just don't have room to collect the entire collection of A list characters. Also, as with the revival of  Masters Of The Universe, I only usually have interest in collecting figures/characters I had when I was younger. So, I'm planning on keeping my Jem collection down to original Jem and the three Misfits.
I didnt say I couldnt be tempted!
However I wasn't...well maybe with Kimber but overall these girls are on a body I do not favor (color infusion) Aja's costume seemed to be a little baggy, and I wouldn't just bring home Kimber!
That would just be strange!
However I can't wait to see fan pictures of the girls all together!

The JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS™ Collection
Limited Edition of 1000 Dolls Only
Suggested Retail Price: US $119.00
Estimated Ship Date: Early March 2013

Limited Edition of 600 Dolls
Estimated Delivery Date: Late March 2013

The Dynamite Girls Boys Cruz and Kyu also sold out within minutes!
Above is the platinum blond Dayle which is also selling out briskly.
At first these outfits seem a little odd.
However I'm assuming most people plan to redress these images of youth and grandeur as soon as they arrive to homes!

And From The Funny Face Line "A Woman Who Thinks" Based on the character played by model Dovima. I'm exhausted with Audrey Hepburn's image in the doll world. Any mention of her or her films brought to life in vinyl now sicken me, so I would never even post a pick. As always the collection is beautifully done with the finest craftsmanship around. If you like that sort of thing you'd be thrilled!
I, on the other hand am patiently waiting for a decent Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, KATHARINE HEPBURN or any Brass Balls actress!

Item # 14018
A Woman Who Thinks
Dressed Doll Mini-Gift Set
The Funny Face Collection
Limited Edition of 400 dolls

Barbie The Look Wardrobe

BRAVO
BRAVO
To Mattel and the designers!
This is an outstanding piece from packaging to item!
Simply divine
If you DO NOT have this piece you MUST grab one or two!
and beg Mattel to produce MORE!
Below video and pics show you how it measures up next to actual model muse body
Its unusual for Mattel to build furniture and playsets that are on scale with actual dolls
but this piece is perfectly up to scale for:

Barbie: Model Muse, Playline and Silkstone bodies.

Also will work well with:

Integrity's Fashion Royalty, Dynamite Girls, NuFace and Monograms.
Wardrobe with Fashion Royalty Natalia Fatale

At FIRST
I did not want anything to do with it!
I'm not a fan of modern furniture and prefer rustic pottery barn shabby type of furniture
But!
I bought it because I'm always crying about not having any furniture!
So
I made the right decision and may even purchase a second!

Barbie and Tonner section @ Fao Schwarz

OH It's that time of year again!
Yes herds of people from places like "Ohio" "Minnesota" and "Alabama" invade New York City and make it completely unbearable!
YES!
Its Christmas time!
And Ground Zero for Christmas in NY is 5th Avenue and Rockefeller Center.
Just a few blocks down (which now is an endless hour stroll) is Fao Schwarz where the latest and greatest toys in NYC are bought and sold.

Usually the crown jewel in Fao is the Barbie section
BUT
The Barbie section was CUT down in size in favor of a new Hello Kitty section?!?!

Stock was limited except for the Fao Schwarz Barbie which could be found in high mounds all over the store undisturbed.

The Tonner section was also enlarged and moved to a more prominent section of the store to feature the new City Girl Line

These Dolls are divine and directly on the mark of young blue blooded Upper East Side New York girls.
If these girls were only 12 inches I would have bought every one!
But they're 14 inches and don't come with any stands so, they're a pass for me unfortunately.
If you like the big girls theses are definitely a MUST have!

If you're planning a trip to NYC this Christmas Season a stop at Fao is worth the hassle!
