Barbie and Tonner section @ Fao Schwarz

OH It's that time of year again!
Yes herds of people from places like "Ohio" "Minnesota" and "Alabama" invade New York City and make it completely unbearable!
YES!
Its Christmas time!
And Ground Zero for Christmas in NY is 5th Avenue and Rockefeller Center.
Just a few blocks down (which now is an endless hour stroll) is Fao Schwarz where the latest and greatest toys in NYC are bought and sold.

Usually the crown jewel in Fao is the Barbie section
BUT
The Barbie section was CUT down in size in favor of a new Hello Kitty section?!?!

Stock was limited except for the Fao Schwarz Barbie which could be found in high mounds all over the store undisturbed.

The Tonner section was also enlarged and moved to a more prominent section of the store to feature the new City Girl Line



 These Dolls are divine and directly on the mark of young blue blooded Upper East Side New York girls.
If these girls were only 12 inches I would have bought every one!
But they're 14 inches and don't come with any stands so, they're a pass for me unfortunately.
If you like the big girls theses are definitely a MUST have!

2012 Tropicalia Convention

The 2012 Tropicalia Convention was a BLOCKBUSTER success!
Alain did a tremendous job executing the theme this year and it was fully realized!
There were mostly postives and only a few downers
First lets start with the collection

This years collection was much better than lasts years Jet Set Collection (the dolls at least). Some of the outfits were a little questionable but not offensive like last year.
The two big winners were the All White Now Collette and Place Vendome Victoire Roux.
Of course Hot Dots Poppy Parker sold out quickly (controversially)

 The absolute must have of the convention was the final nights table centerpiece High Profile Eugenia

The crowd lost their heads over this tan Eugenia but shame on Integrity for not having enough for everybody to purchase and shame on them for the cheap quality gown.

The other surprises of the final night were a NEW Vanessa Perrin with a new face sculpt

Also wearing a cheap gown that we unfortunately found in our welcome boxes.

All was forgiven when they unveiled our convention gift Frame by Frame Imogen

This gift set made me dance around my room naked!

I just loved how everything about the theme blended so well. From setting to some of the dolls and the colors!

Truly Madly Deeply Agnes Von Weiss (Video Below)

The 2012 Integrity Toys Unveiling Event doll Truly Madly Deeply Agnes Von Weiss is NOW shipping to the lucky WClub member who purchased her back in March.
The actual doll is divine (as you can see below)
However, its not as spectacular as the promo pics above.
The hair color is questionable and Agnes didn't ship with the exact style we see in the promos pics.
These discrepancies are unusual for Integrity and can be easily fixed.

I'm sure the Agnes fans are delighted.
I am not an Agnes fan or completest and I still love this piece!

THIS is Fashion Royalty!

I've been wanting to put together a video to this music track for a very long time
 Jay Karan "I don't like that bitch" (drag ball music).
Its a collection of my 2-3 years collecting and photographing Integrity Toy's Fashion Royalty line.

Of course, I've been heavily influenced by my first photographer Aaron Cobbett!
Being one of Cobbett's beauties and an "active" participant in the New York club scene in the 90's to the early 20's You can see how the song and these lovelies are a perfect fit for me!
They also bring back a tad bit of nostalgia for a New York that no longer exists

Unlike Barbie the Fashion Royalty line reflects an assertive sexually aggressive head strong  female mechanism that embodies second wave feminism like an indestructible military force.
Within the story lines and character developments they are corporate giants that survive on a savage lust for success. They are female entities operating on a by any means necessary ideology.
And their fashion serves as their muse, their camouflage and their armor.

As you can see it is a delightful world to dive into.
So you must get a chance and pick yourself up one!
