Integrity Toys 101 All about Integrity Toys!

I know some of my lovelies especially the teenaged ones may be suffering from a little sticker shock at the $125 price tag of the new Hollywood Jem doll or stressing out on how you'll be able to get those lace gloved hands on the new Jem collection.

Let me tell you about Integrity toys and how you'll be able to do that.

First if you want a history of Integrity toys you can click HERE
Basically its not your average toy company.
Integrity specializes in collector grade fashion dolls designed by exclusive fashion designers including  the masterful Jason Wu.
Below is a glimpse at their Spring 2012 collection:

Integrity Toys  products are usually sold only through authorized dealers like Happily Ever After in Philadelphia (www.happily.com)
You can find a complete and International list of dealers Here:  http://www.integritytoys.com/page/dealers

Occasionally products are sold through the Integrity website in their shop (integritydirect) and products are also sold at their exclusive yearly convention and through the WClub.

YOU WILL NOT FIND THEIR PIECES AT TOYS R US OR TARGET

Products are unveiled two or three times a year (hot ticket events in the doll world)
and on those days  the authorized dealers take pre-orders on the items you want and you pray they are still available (dolls are usually produced in limited numbers and sell out quickly).

This rarity makes the items value double or triple on the secondary market (Ebay)

The price tag usually runs the gamete from $65 to $195 (to date) depending on the doll line or if its a gift set.
This can be an expensive company to follow but each doll is an investment.
Depending on the dolls popularity the item can triple in value over night.
Some dolls even resell over the $1,000 price point over time.
These items also hold some value sold nude or just for the fashion.
To see all the various lines Integrity offers click Here:   http://www.integritytoys.com/page/brands
Below is an example of just a few of the different dolls/characters from different lines over the years.

Fashion Royalty Obsidian Society Vanessa Perrin
Fashion Royalty Hi Fi Convention Black As Night Gift Kyori Sato & Natalia Fatale Set
NuFace WClub Exclusive Glam Addict Giselle Diefendorf
FR2 10th Anniversary Veronique Perrin

As you can see, these items are miles ahead of anything Mattel produces in style, structure, vision and quality.
Fashions are lined and the highest quality 1/6 scale couture.
Hair is always some form of Saran and most dolls have hand applied eye lashes.

To insure that youre the first one on your block to complete your collection follow these simple steps:

1. Sign up to be alerted when Integrity Toys begins accepting membership for their 2013 WClub HERE
This is the Integrity toys "fan club" where you'll receive information on new items and events first.

2. Locate the closest Integrity Toys dealer. Visit them if you can or send them an introductory email and ask  if they can email you when they hear the latest news from Integrity toys

3. Save your money. Budget your money. Pre orders usually involve a deposit with the rest of the payment due on delivery (which can be several months later). Most people purchase more than one doll so its important to be at the unveiling events and get your orders in first to avoid paying secondary market prices.

4. Sign up here to Saturday Morning ToyZ

JEM IS BACK FOR 2012! Video Below!

TODAY!
Integrity toys trumpeted  a NEW partnership with Hasbro to produce Jem dolls!
You can find official press release HERE
The first to be produced is the item above

Hollywood Jem

Item will be sold at San Diego Comic Con for $125
and then the remaining dolls will be sold on Hasbro's website.

Its very strange because The Hub (Hasbro's cable network) stopped showing Jem a couple of weeks ago which lead me to believe the rumors about a new doll line were also scrapped

BUT I WAS WRONG!

This is not the first time Integrity created a line for an iconic property.
They produced a line for Paramount's Breakfast At Tiffany's and pieces for Rupaul and Katy Perry.
This new endeavor and each character unveiling should be an exciting and totally outrageous adventure!

If you're new to Integrity toys you should know their products are usually sold only through authorized dealers, like Happily Ever After in Philadelphia (www.happily.com)
Occasionally products are sold through their website in their shop (integritydirect) and products are also sold at their exclusive yearly convention.
Products are unveiled two or three times a year and on that day the authorized dealers take pre-orders on the items you want and you pray they are still available (dolls are usually produced in limited numbers).
This makes the items value double or triple on the secondary market (Ebay)

Information is limited but we are assuming we will see more of this Jem collection either at the upcoming convention or in the Spring 2013 line.

Your BEST bet to stay informed is to sign up for the WClub.
This is the Integrity toys "fan club" where you'll receive information first.
You can sign up to be alerted when they begin taking members for 2013 on the Integrity Toys website.

So
Get those DVDs out and sing at the top of your lungs because

It's Only The Beginning! ;)

Barbie Three Story Dream Townhouse gets a Make Over for 2012

The Barbie Three Story Dream Townhouse gets a Make Over for 2012!
Some would say it was a much needed re-haul on a house that was just too pink to bare!
The new home features three different color floors including a beautiful sky blue mid level.
The pink hot tub is also a cooler sky blue and white.
The bathroom now has a purple shower and the living room's flat screen t.v. features a new screenshot.

Barbie gets a new kitchen with a complete recolor of the fridge, range and kitchen set.
Throughout the house the back or wall artwork has also changed to match the new setting.
All the sounds and special effects have remained the same.

This is a truly beautiful set.
Refreshing to see Mattel  playline designers suddenly learned there are other colors available to them besides pink!
I wish I could have waited for this redo but I had no idea it was coming and I do have an attachment to my original home!
If you haven't gotten your hands on one yet now is the time!
This remix is sure to make the townhouse a hot item for Christmas 2012!

Monster High High School Playset Toys R Us Times Square

The Monster High High School Play set was spotted st Times Square TRU!
Item was not in MH section but behind cashier counter directly across from Monster High/Bratz and Barbie section in the three story NYC wonderland!
As you can see item sells for $104.99 and is relatively light weight.
I did not purchase item because (typical with Mattel) the box art featured dolls who didn't fit properly in the play set.
Another play set not built to proper scale.
I'm sure I'll pick it up during the holiday season anyway!

Fao Schwarz 150th Anniversary Barbie In Store NOW!

The Fao Schwarz 150th Anniversary Barbie is now in shop at their flagship 5th avenue store!
BEWARE!
ALL THE BOXES ARE DAMAGED IN SOME FASHION!
Boxes are dented, cracked, half opened and ripped.
I was able to find a decent one finally at the bottom of the back row.
The staff at this store seems to be very careless and poorly managed.
I wrote about their mishandling of Tonner merchandise in a previous post Here

Item sells for $39.99

Fao Schwarz Barbie Tonner and Monster High June 2012

Its summer!
New York City is buzzing with tourist (unfortunately).
Fao Schwarz is still a must see stop on every middle American's tour of Gotham.
I have to say they're in for a lovely treat (in the Barbie section at least)
As always they have a wonderful section of prime New York real estate laid out for Ms. B including the
Will and Kate gift set (selling for $128).
The Tonner section does not receive the same care and attention that is lavished on the California blond however.
Tonner's dolls are lopsided and clumsy in their displays.
These are fine quality big ticket items that deserve respect and a little more dignity and less dingyity!
Both Fao and the reputation of Tonner Dolls would be better served with these girls behind a glass display.
Someone from Tonner should pay them a visit or a friendly call so these girls get the respect that they deserve!
If you are in NYC you must stop by this dolly paradise!
Remember Fao is actually the only doll dealer in NYC!
You may also find the 150th Anniversary Fao Schwarz Barbie later this summer!
