The Masters Of The Universe Classics Controversy: What He Man Would Have Looked Like

Chaos unfolded Friday afternoon when Mattel (under the guise of Mattycollector.com) released San Diego Comic Con Exclusive figures of the 30th Anniversary of Masters Of The Universe.

Introducing Vykron

Based on the Roger Sweet Prototypes for He Man
Though in his book he describes how these figures looked and their being based on the Big Jim figures, NO actual pictures were published based on the fact they belong to Mattel.

Now, for the 30th Anniversary of Masters Of The Universe, Mattel decided this is exactly what fans wanted to mark the occasion (even though fans have been asking for a Castle Greyskull and/or a  Modulock figure.

You can see the warm response on Mattycollectors Facebook page Here

Integrity Toys 2012 Spring Collection

The Integrity 2012 Spring line was released on March 30th 2012 at 5:00P.M. and I'm happy to say everyone seems pleasantly pleased with the showing. The show moved quickly (unlike last years) and because of the earlier IDEX collection, was slightly smaller than last years collection as well.

There were many favorites for fans of Poppy Parker, FR2, NuFace and The Dynamite Girls but for me, the following pieces were the highlights of the collection.
Before we get into the The Girls, I have to say that although I'm not a fan of Vaughn's favoring of bright colors, he did a admirable job with the designs and continuously introduces distinct collections year after year. The essence of this collection seems to be a restoration of the glamor and socialite modus vivendi that is the heart of the Fashion Royalty brand name. With that, what better way to accent this glamorous revival than with the accent of 40's style coiffure.

The absolute blockbuster sell out of the show was:...and another thing..Kyori Sato (pictured below).
Prices were reasonable (after the Idex collection I was expecting a sticker shock coma)
Especially the $150 price tag for both outstanding gift sets (Kyori and Agnes).
There was also NO price increase on the Fashion Royalty line (which keeps its 2011 $110 price tag)
The full collection can be seen on Integrity Toys Facebook Page.
